Marketing Strategy

For Cherry Popped, the goal was to launch a whiskey brand that breaks away from traditional, masculine liquor marketing and instead leans into a playful, youthful, and community-driven identity (which is the way in the marketing world now). The strategy focused on positioning Cherry Popped as “classy but dirty”. It is a bold mix of cheeky and elevated style that resonates with mainly mid-20s consumers, who want their drinks to feel like an experience, not just a purchase.

The primary platform of marketing will start out on TikTok and Instagram. Starting by creating a community that wants to be apart of the classy but dirty lifestyle. The selling feature to draw customers in will be the faces of the company. A mid-20’s friend group that goes about their regular fun lifestyle, from adventures like camping in the bush on the weekends to a classy dinner on a Wednesday night. The classy but dirty drink will follow them no matter the situation.
